The Bulova Snorkel 666, better known by its intriguing nickname of "Devil Diver", is a diver's watch that's still quite a secret among underwater exploration enthusiasts. Launched in the 1960s, it established itself as a serious rival to the giants such as the Rolex Submariner and Omega Seamaster. But where does the number 666 come from? Quite simply, a technical feat. In order to surpass the symbolic 200-meter mark for water resistance - i.e. 660 feet - Bulova pushed the performance a little further, reaching 666 feet (approximately 203 meters). This small difference was enough to give Bulova its strong identity and its mischievous nickname. A nod to the world beyond the oceans: the Bulova brand didn't just dive. It has also taken part in the conquest of space. During the Apollo 15 mission, it was a Bulova watch that accompanied Commander David Scott to the Moon, marking another bold page in its history.
