Description
Presented on October 2, 1913 by the Nordischer Bergungsverein Hamburg to Captain Ludwig Schwenn on his 25th anniversary of service (dedication in the watch). Captain Schwenn was in command of the salvage steamer berger wilhelm from 1896 to 1916, and the cargo steamer fehmarn from 1920 to 1931. In 1906 he was awarded the Order of Nischan el Iftikhar in Tunisia for raising the submarine farfadet on September 13, 1906. Ref.: digiporta "Portrait Ludwig Schwenn"
