An elegant and rare example of the Technos Black Panther Automatic from the 1970’s. Trademark “T” on original crown, dial (2x) and on case back. The case has a few small dings but is otherwise crisp and in very good condition. The watch sits lightly on the wrist. Crystal has a few marks as seen in the photographs, but nothing that bothers the eye. The dial is stunning and in perfect condition, maroon or purple, sunburst style lighter in the middle graduating to darker towards the edges. The raised chrome “T” at 12 is underlaid by a large frosted “T” which is hard to show in the photographs. Appearance of the watch face changes constantly depending on angle of light which adds to its appeal. Small lume dots by the raised hour markers as well as in the hands glow briefly when exposed to bright light. Crown is small and a little stiff to wind, but the movement starts running after a few turns, and keeps time well on the wrist. Date changes promptly around midnight, day is sometimes a bit sluggish but can be nudged to position with the quick-set crown in 2nd position. Service history is unknown. The movement looks clean and free of oxidation with no hard tool marks. Please refer to the photos for details, and contact me if you have any questions.
